My twins have a mind of their own. They can’t seem to come to a conclusion as to what they want to eat, but there is one food item they both are crazy both – Classic American hot dog.
The American hot dog recipe is easy and takes about 5 minutes to prepare. With American hot dog fillings, you can sneak in some veggies as well.
2 – chicken frankfurters
2 – hot dog buns
1 tbsp – dijon mustard
1 – lettuce
½ cup – grated cheese
4 tbsp – mayonnaise
Boil some water in a deep pan. Once boiled, put the frankfurters in the boiling water for 2-3 mins.
Heat oil in a pan. Simultaneously, transfer the frankfurters from water to kitchen paper towel. The frankfurter should be dry. Once dry, shallow fry it in the pan for 1-2 mins.
Cut the hot dog buns. Spread mayo on one side and mustard on the other.
Place the lettuce on one side and frankfurter on the other. Put grated cheese with the frankfurter and close the hot dog.
Garnish it with additional mustard and mayo on top.
You can serve it with potato wafers or fry some potato chips. If you want, you can put tomato, grated carrot and olives in the American hot dog as well.
