Paneer Satay | Healthy And Tasty Recipe

Paneer Satay:

Paneer is a fresh cheese common in the Indian subcontinent, especially in India. It is an unaged, non-melting farmer cheese made by curdling milk with Vegetarian Rennet, such as Withania coagulans juice. It is known as fonir in Sylhet. Here is the simple and yummy Panner Satay recipe, kids will enjoy this recipe.

Ingredients:

Paneer – 300gm

Salt – as per taste

Pepper – 1/4 Tsp

Soy sauce – 1tsp

Dry red chilli – 5

Ginger – 1/2 inch

Garlic – 5 pods

Chilli paste – 1tsp

Coconut milk powder – 1 Tsp

Peanut butter – 1 tbsp

Lemongrass – small stalk chopped

Oil – for saute

Bamboo Skewers

 

Method :

  • Take all the ingredients except paneer in a mixing bowl and grind in a coarse paste.

  • Cut the paneer lengthwise into rectangular strips with 1-inch thickness.

  • Insert the bamboo skewers into the paneer and coat them with the marinade prepared earlier.

  • Set aside for 1-2 hours

  • These skewers can be barbecued or grilled on a pan. If you want to barbecue, make sure you soak the bamboo skewers in water overnight.

  • I prefer grilling them on a pan, as it is simple. Heat a grill pan on the stove and apply oil to it. 

  • Place the paneer skewers and cook them till brown in colour.

  • Yummy Paneer Satay is ready. Serve them hot with satay sauce.

Preparation Time: 1.30-2 hour

Cook time: 16-20 minutes
