Stuffed Mushroom Recipe | Healthy Kids Recipe

Mushrooms are classified as vegetables in the food world, but they are not technically plants. They belong to the fungi kingdom. Although they are not vegetables, mushrooms provide several important nutrients. Here is the Stuffed Mushroom Recipe.

Stuffed Mushroom Recipe:

Ingredients:

250gm Button mushrooms

1 cup grated Mozzarella 

2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced

1/2 cup fresh parsley

1/2 cup fresh basil

Salt to taste

freshly ground black pepper

1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 cup  breadcrumbs

Method:

  • Wash and pat dry the mushrooms after removing the stems.
  • In a bowl, mix bread crumbs, half the amount of cheese, garlic, parsley, basil, salt and pepper(as per your taste) and 2 tablespoons olive oil. 
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C
  • Drizzle a baking tray with about 1 tbsp of olive oil. 
  • Spoon the filling into the mushroom cavities and arrange on the baking sheet. 
  • Drizzle remaining oil over the filling in each mushroom.
  • Bake until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is heated through and golden on top, about 25 minutes. 
  • Stuffed Mushroom Recipe is ready, Serve hot with tomato salsa.
