As a part of Work Experience (WE) the students of Whitefield Global School were working with Reap Benefit engagement to help the community.

There were 12 sessions planned this year. Each session activated Public Problem Solving skills in them as given below.

21st Century Skills developed: Entrepreneurship, Grit, Community Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication, Data Orientation, Citizenship, Applied Empathy, Problem Solving and Hands - on Skills.

Highlights of the Skill up to Solve (9th) and Build to Solve (10th) Sessions:

1. Students identified the problems in the school, home and community.

2. Students were introduced to the tools of trigger mapping and rapid prototyping.

3. Students had 3 sessions of prototyping and building their solutions using available raw materials and Solve Ninja Techno Kit for the final solution.

4. Students solve real world problems and shared the process, why and how they made the solution.

Impact created and Solutions implemented:

9th Grade

> Saved half million liters of water in school - by optimizing 57 flush tanks and installing 20 aerators and heading 10 campaigns in the community to save water.

> They conducted a school wide campaign to save 50,000 liters of water suggesting 10 different solutions to save water

> They have got upto 500 signatures to support their campaign

> They learnt hands on skills and building skills in a plumbing workshop

10th Grade

> Students have built 3 smart solutions - smart dustbin, air quality monitor, RO water indicator

> Students have installed 2 Human Centered Dustbins in each floor and dry waste bins in 7 classes

> Students have done switchboard mapping in 3 classrooms
