Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan - Celebrates Annual Day With Great Fanfare

Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, celebrated its annual day on Saturday, 1 December. A prize-distribution function was part of the programme held at the school auditorium.

The programme was held in the presence of Justice (Retd) Ajit Prakash Shah, former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court and Chairman, Springdales School, Pusa Road. Pavan K. Varma, author, politician and former diplomat, was the guest of honour while Armen Martirosyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, was also present at the event.

Acknowledging the positive change the school had witnessed in the year gone by, Justice Shah congratulated Springdales for creating a “vibrant culture where students develop a scientific temperament, are compassionate, respect diversity and desire for international peace”. He also presented awards to meritorious students of the senior school for excellence in academic and co-curricular activities.

Kiran Datar, chairperson of the school managing board, welcomed the guests. Jyoti Bose, Director, Springdales Schools, and Ritu Madan, Officiating Principal, presented the annual report listing the school’s achievements in various fields in the academic session 2017-18.

Addressing the event, which was also attended by parents of the students, Pavan K Varma advised the children to be “culturally rooted, strive to be original, be disciplined and become enlightened citizens”.

A musical rendition by the school choir filled the auditorium with a spirit of festivity and joy of Onam, and also brought about an essence of Poland and Finland.
